Final pH (at 25°C) : 7.0 + 0.2
Directions :
Suspend 18.5 grams in 500 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely.
Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50°C and
aseptically add reconstituted contents of one vial of Oxytetra Selective Supplement. Mix
well and pour into sterile Petri plates.
Principles :
Yeast extract provides essential growth nutrients. Dextrose acts as carbon and energy source. Low
pH helps to reduce the bacterial flora. Oxytetracycline makes the medium more selective by
inhibiting the growth of Lactobacilli encountered in milk and milk-products at low pH.

The Brazil Nut Protein ELISA Kit is a microwell sandwich ELISA, used for the quantitative analysis of low levels of brazil nut residues in food products, ingredients, clean in place (CIP) rinses and environmental swabs in a 96 well format. The quantity of protein in the sample can be extrapolated from the standard curve, constructed from standards of known concentration, and adjusted to consider the sample dilution.
